    @xAPPO i'm having a VM for all my stuff and I'm using a raspberry pi as a remote "zway" device using socat/ser2net to send back the USB dongle into the VM! Works like a charm for the last 4 years 😉

    Considering your requirements, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32 are suitable choices; but you should consider things like communication protocols, power consumption, etc.. .
    Aside with the things I said above, considering that you haven't done this before, I also think starting with a HA system is a more cautious approach; especially given the complexity of managing various smart devices in your smart house project.
    Popular HA systems include Home Assistant, OpenHAB, SmartThings, and Hubitat

    Something tells me you are in the majority with that sentiment. But no question that better documentation is sorely needed. I'm probably the worst person to nominate for the job, but heck, I wrote much of Vera's docs so I've at least got that pedigree, lol.

    @Loorrd before we can help, it would be good to know what controller you’re using and if you are using a separate logic engine like Multi System Reactor to automate things.

    @rafale77 I have CarPlay and telegram messages are displayed and you could also make Siri read them loud. Pretty cool 😎
