I've managed to use MSR UI on iOS devices to some degree*, so that although UI elements (e.g. rule sets) are not visible in portrait mode, you've seen them in landscape. Now with recents builds (24302) this does not work anymore, elements (rule sets, entities) are not anymore visible in landscape mode.
Does anyone have similar experiences? Using iOS 18 and Safari/Chrome browser.
( *Drag & drop of rule conditions have never worked on a mobile)

I have the following ACL defined:

In Home Assistant I sometimes uses the TTS, either to my Sonos or Google speakers. With reactor in Vera I also use TTS.
But in MSR I can't select the TTS-service. It's simply not there. Am I missing something, or is this the case, so far?

I have just connected a bunch of EzloPi controllers to MSR to import some ESP based devices etc.
They all seemed to have worked and imported in to MSR apart from I have one missing device. It is a Digital Gas Sensor device.

Home Assistant up to version 2021.8.6 supported; the online version of the manual will now state the current supported versions; Fix an error in OWMWeatherController that could cause it to stop updating; Unify the approach to entity filtering on all hub interface classes (controllers); this works for device entities only; it may be extended to other entities later; Improve error detail in messages for EzloController during auth phase; Add isRuleSet() and isRuleEnabled() functions to expressions extensions; Implement set action for lock and passage capabilities (makes them more easily scriptable in some cases); Fix a place in the UI where 24-hour time was not being displayed.A couple of things for you @toggledbits, since you mentioned that this release has new features and some tweaks are expected.
Local expressions cannot be deleted. Pushing the X button has no effect for me.
When cloning an entity action, the result is strange (first is cloned one, second is the original action):

Dark theme has a couple of strange contrasts. One is visible in the previous screenshots (white text on yellow background). Another one is in groups (blue text on blue background):

Overall, I found blue, yellow, red and green (in buttons and forms) to be too bright.

I just upgraded to version MSR 24293, bare metal running on Fedora. Upon restart, I am getting a error banner:

Seems like switching the UI to the newly added dark mode (thank you for this) does nothing. The UI stays in light mode and only a few buttons turn into dark mode (see screenshot)

Good morning,
I have a service MQTT service that needs a restart occasionally. The add-on (Smartbed MQTT) is for the smart bed base for my bed. It has a "safety light" that I can control from HAAS & MSR as a light entity, and also moves the head of the bed to a preset at bedtime, and then lies it back flat in the morning The problem is, from time to time, the light becomes "unavailable" Restarting from the Add-ons tab in HAAS always fixes it, but I should be able to detect when it happens when "light.tempur_pedic_safety_lights" is not true or false, i.e., unavailable.
What I don't know how to do is how to restart that service. Does anybody have experience in restarting add-ons from MSR?

I'm working on a controller to generate llm response from a prompt in reactor. I have http response coming thru an http request action at the moment, capturing the response inside a local variable. So, it's practically sync.
I want to create a controller, so I don't have to rely on a proxy (and have a simpler architecture), and duplicate absurd http actions, but AFAIK in the current implementation, actions are async only. But if I have multiple requests going on, I cannot be sure what it's really inside an attribute. I also thought that something like a correlation id when sending the request could be used to identity multiple responses, but I wanted to double check with you before starting with something too complicated. I also noticed that some actions in home assistant (ie forecast) are sync and I'm wondering if you have any plan or hint to address this situation. Thanks.

@togglebits I am curious as to why the tilt_sensor.state (primary) = NULL. I believe it should show true or false. I have to use binary_sensor.state instead in my rules.
Again, not sure if this is related to Reactor/ZwaveJSController implementation or the actual Z-Wave JS UI docker version. I have copied, below, the attributes of the tilt sensor in hopes it can help.

I have mapped my most useful devices, but I'll add others soon. Feel free to ask for specific templates, since I've worked a lot in the last weeks to understand and operate them.
The templates are supporting both init and query, so you have always up-to-date devices at startup, and the ability to poll them. Online status is supported as well, so you can get disconnected devices with a simple expression.

Did you restart Reactor after making the changes on the Vera, and also hard refresh your browser?

Unfortunately I can't see your screen shots, they're too small (basically same size as thumbnail when reading, for whatever reason). But that's probably not useful or conclusive anyway. I would look at the attributes listed for the entities in the Entities list. VeraController just copies whatever it gets for state variables from the Vera to extended attributes, so if they are not listed there, it seems they may not be coming over for whatever reason, or there was an error trying to process them for some reason (I assume you looked in the logs for errors and didn't mention any because you didn't find any? They would occur during the initialization phase after startup). You can also check the
vera-user_data-initial.json
andvera-status-initial.json
files to see exactly what the Vera sent to Reactor for states. They should be listed there. -

I have looked at the vera logs (http://192.168.XX.XXX/cgi-bin/cmh/log.sh?Device=LuaUPnP after a luup reload. If I search for the two new multistring devices (1056 & 1057) the entries looked quite normal compared to the log entries for similar devices. So I assume no vera error?

Entities are (in effect) devices. Attributes are values (like state variables on a device). It sounds like you're missing attributes. The logs I want you to look at are the Reactor logs.

I don't know if this might be related, but I just saw something strange with a missing attribute as well. It looks like after the last update the Schlage lock attribute on Vera systems lost:
x_vera_svc_micasaverde_com_DoorLock1.sl_UserCode_updated
(missing) is after it when looking in rule>entities>triggers.
Something just came up at work as I was writing this, so I'll look through the logs when I am freed up.

False alarm with both work and MSR. I went back to look and it cleared up on it's own.

@toggledbits it appears that I used the wrong terminology. I have looked at the two Reactor logs (vera-user_data-initial.json and vera-status-initial.json files) again, comparing the attributes for 1056 and 1057 against other devices, the respective attributes don't seem out of place. All attributes are listed for the two multistring devices (or should I say they appear to be listed). See below for device 1056. Does this confirm that the attributes for the two new entities (devices) are being read correctly by reactor?

OK. But in all your screen shots, you are showing actions not state variables or conditions trying to use state variables. The state variables will not be listed in actions. You're mixing up so much terminology that I'm not sure of what you're looking for or what you're trying to do.
Maybe a good start would be to have you review the Concepts and Terminology page of the documentation, then try to describe again what you are trying to do and what you are not getting that you expect. I'm lost.

I have a number of rules which using entity actions I write values into multistring devices in my vera plus. Below is an example of how I do this in Reactor:
If I add a new multistring device in my vera plus I cannot set the device variables as I can with 'old' multistring devices. The below screen shot shows that the same drop down menu options in reactor for the new multistring device are not present as they are for the old device above:
If I look at the reactor entities for an old multistring entity (device #887) and a newly created multistring entity (device number '1056) I can spot a difference as per the screen shot below. I guess my question is 'why are the available actions not listed for new multistring devices (entities))?

OK. I'm seeing some clarity now.
It looks like Gas Params may be misconfigured on the Vera. I would compare the settings in the control panel Advanced > Params for device 887 and 1056 and see if you spot a difference. If I had to guess, I'd say that the name of the
device_file
is incorrect on 1056. I don't know how you create new devices in MultiString, since I don't use the thing, but it seems it went wrong at that step.Edit: if they seem identical, then it's possible that VeraController received an update while the device was being created, and it was in an intermediate state (there's no way for VeraController to know). Try deleting the entity in Reactor using the DELETE button in the entity detail (in the entity on the Entities page). Then restart Reactor and let it recreate the entity from scratch (you'll need to hard refresh your browser as well).

So, I have found my missing parameters! They appeared following a reactor update. Perhaps next time I add new vera devices, I should stop reactor and re-start it after I have added the new devices and things have settled down. Anyhow, thanks again for your assitance Patrick.
