[SOLVED] Sanity check: Groups in Reset Reactions
-
When this rule goes false I'd like one of two options to happen. @toggledbits introduced me to the use of
Group
inReset Reaction
which has been fantastic. Attempting to create two groups this morning, however, nets me this:I keep staring at it but am plainly missing whatever I've done wrong. As such, it won't let me save the ruleset.
I did look back, btw, at my others and noticed a spacing change between
action
andcondition
- probably completely unrelated but still "something different." -
You're not going anything wrong. It's a UI bug. I won't be able to get to it today, unfortunately. It may be a couple of days before it gets fixed.

@toggledbits Appreciate the vote for "sane after all". No rush, this is tweaking some automations. Lived without it up to this point, a few days more is NBD. Thanks for this, sir!

PR 0000336 is open for this.

Following to see when the UI issue is fixed. Just learned about the groups and it would allow me to consolidate a number of rules.
@3rdstng it's great in some places, for sure. I've been using it to create multiple responses, ie "do this
reset reaction
if mode goes Away>Day" vs "do thisreset reaction
if mode goes Away>Evening" as groups under the original ruleset for lights/blinds/etc. Really nice functionality. -
