[Solved] DynamicGroupController updating members issue
CrilleC
Edit: Solved in latest-26221. Bare-metal latest-26193 I have this group: "OKforLarm": name: OK för Larm select: - include_controller: vera - include_capability: door_sensor filter_expression: entity.attributes.door_sensor.state It contains the entities I expect but behaves a bit odd. When I open vera>device_10097 the entity attribute door_sensor.state changes to true but it won't show up as member in the group, when I also open vera>device_10095 they both shows as members and when I close vera>device_10095 it disappear from the group but when I close vera>device_10097 it lingers in the group until I restart Reactor.

Reactor (Multi-System/Multi-Hub) Announcements
toggledbitsT
Build 21228 has been released. Docker images available from DockerHub as usual, and bare-metal packages here. Home Assistant up to version 2021.8.6 supported; the online version of the manual will now state the current supported versions; Fix an error in OWMWeatherController that could cause it to stop updating; Unify the approach to entity filtering on all hub interface classes (controllers); this works for device entities only; it may be extended to other entities later; Improve error detail in messages for EzloController during auth phase; Add isRuleSet() and isRuleEnabled() functions to expressions extensions; Implement set action for lock and passage capabilities (makes them more easily scriptable in some cases); Fix a place in the UI where 24-hour time was not being displayed.

DynamicGroupController and attributes
therealdbT
Hey @toggledbits I'm back to trying to optimize a couple of things based on dynamic group. First of all, I think I found a typo in the doc: primary_attribute: "binary_sensor.state" primary_attribute_value: | d = false; each id in members: d = getEntity(id)?.attributes?.power_switch?.state or d, d I think the correct code snippet is d = false, All that said, my use case for dynamic groups is to group 3 different climate devices, so I could easily command them at the same time. Commands are good, but sometimes I want to check if any of the devices are on, and that's easily done with a similar snippet as the one you have in the docs. But this is limited to the primary attribute, while I want to have any of the attributes in the group to be driven by a similar logic (while all are null in the group). ie, access hvac_control.mode and see if any of the unit is set to cool, or heat. Is that possible, without re-defining an expression in each of my rules? Thanks!

[MSR] Copy&past of actions and/or drag&drop between set/reset
therealdbT
Hey @toggledbits One thing that bothers me while doing work on new systems/new features, is that I cannot copy&paste actions, and I cannot drag&drop between set and resets. #1 is for when I want to copy an action between different rules opened in two separate browser windows, while #2 is when I just need to flip a bunch of actions in the reset, or move some logic back and forth. Both will be appreciated, but I understand the technical challenges. Thanks!

Upgrade advice - upgrade from aarch64 to ARM64 image
T
I'm currently on version 26011. I understand that the aarch64 image is no longer supported. So, I therefore need to update to the ARM64 image. Can anyone possibly suggest how I update my docker compose.yaml file (see below). Ideally I'd like to keep my existing reactions etc. rather than start from scratch. # Multi-System Reactor template docker-compose.yml (version 22160) # # Change the lines indicated by "DO"... # services: reactor: container_name: reactor environment: # DO change the TZ: line to set your local time zone. # See valid TZ list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones TZ: GB # # DO NOT change this path. Deprecation Announcement: 32-bit ARM *docker* images
toggledbitsT
If you are using the armv7l docker image, the OpenJS Foundation that publishes node is no longer producing 32-bit builds as of v24. That means the last supported LTS version of node for armv7l is v22, which will go End-of-Life in May 2027. Therefore, the Reactor armv7l image is now deprecated and will only be produced until node v22 goes EOL, and I will not publish armv7l images beyond that date. If you are running an RPi 3 or earlier with Reactor, you are on this image, and will need to upgrade hardware to a 64-bit model and use the arm64 image. If you need help getting it done, ask in this category.

http request action & digest auth

I’m using the HTTP Request action in MSR and need to authenticate against an endpoint that uses HTTP Digest authentication. Now that endpoint was changed to use SHA-256 in digest auth, so I would like to know if MSR supports it, or is it limited to MD5-based digest auth?

"Changing the operator on this condition will remove the non-default condition options currently set."

It's just telling you that the conditions options (under the dot-dot-dot button/icon) are going to be cleared because the operator is changing. That's because not every condition option is available for every operator. If you choose a Reactor-defined capability and attribute, it will recognize the operator's required type (so things like is TRUE and is FALSE will be allowed for attributes known to be boolean). When you use any extended attribute, like x_vera_anything.anything (the x_vera part being the clue that's an extended capability and attribute), that system's native type governs, and for Vera, that's a string, so is TRUE and is FALSE don't apply.

General recommendation is don't use the extended attributes when a Reactor-defined attribute is available.

To look beyond this, you'd need to post the attribute list for the device for starters. There's a Copy Attributes button in the entity detail. Use that, and paste the output here.

Think I might have to delete the rule and start again with some slightly different logic.

      Trigger:

Motion is detected in the Hallway

      Constraints: (Conditions)

      LUX Level <= 100
      Motion Sensor = Disarmed
A virtual switch (Dark Mode) = OFF

      Set Reaction:

If Vera is in Home Mode then set the Hallway light to 40%

If Vera is in Night Mode then set the Hallway light to 20%

      Reset Reaction:

      Turn the light OFF

I think this rule worked in the past but it was disabled for a while so maybe not. Don't think I arm this motion sensor for any reason, perhaps I need two rules instead now.

Yes that's right that's how it use to work. However now I am noticing I don't seem to have these Reactor defined capability and attribute anymore in that menu. I just seem to have the extended attributes only now. I will post the attributes list of this device in a moment.

Yes that's correct, I understand that is why I now need to use 1 or 0 instead of True or False etc.

I would delete the entity (using the delete button in the entity detail display), and the restart Reactor and see if it re-creates the Reactor-defined capabilities and attributes.

If not, look at the reactor.log file and see if it logged any errors related to VeraController.

Well I've fixed the Trigger now. It was my fault I misunderstood what the popup was telling me. It was telling me it was gonna get rid of "is True" and blank that out, which is fine and as you said.

I thought it meant it was going to remove some other "Conditions" further down in the rule as I said.

                    Thanks

OK let me see if I can do that. You mean pressing the X here ? And then adding it back in to the trigger right?

No... Entities page... where you got the Copy Attributes output. There's a delete button there.

Delete the entity, then restart Reactor. It will come back, hopefully with binary_sensor capability.

They are back in the menu now!

But it seems all the Vera devices and rules I have looked at today none of them had Reactor defined capability / attributes. I will have to check some more rules / devices to see what is happening?

                                OK. That's easy to address.

                                1. Stop Reactor
                                2. Delete the entire storage/entities subdirectory (no others, just that one)
                                3. Restart Reactor

This will force all Controller-based entities to be rebuilt, like the motion sensor was, just in bulk.

OK I might have to do it on bulk then as you say.

I've been looking at some old rules that I have not touched or done anything with or messed with those devices at all, those rules seem fine and still have the binary_sensor.state attribute etc.

But I am sure for "new" devices I have paired back to the Vera hub today and then had to correct / edit those rules or create new rules, them ones only showed me the extended attributes only in that menu.

These are some other "new" devices paired / added today to the Vera hub and their rules / triggers.

                                  1. This is the Site Sensor plugin new today on Vera, it only has extended attributes (Maybe expected for that as its a virtual device?)

                                  1. Another motion sensor I paired today a Hank one. That also has no Reactor defined Capability / Attribute, there was only extended attributes available in the menu.

                                  1e0dd3a3-a3e7-4723-9359-976771af78ea-image.png

                                  1. This one did work, a Hank door sensor, I paired yesterday, that one does have binary_sensor.state.

                                  05131d19-3a4f-454e-a543-53c954b6d4f2-image.png

So it seems hit or miss if the new devices get them or not.

I will double check what happens? When I paired more new devices soon.

                                  Thanks.
