Feature Request: MSR Rule Snapshot Exporter
-
I just thought of another handy Tool to contemplate: A basic rule exporter.
By going to TOOLS > Rule Exporter > [ <select Rule> ] > [ select Format (JSON/MSR | PDF | PNG | ASCII) ]
the user could save a rendering of the selected Rule for sharing with others. I'm sure @toggledbits already plans this as part of the "Backup & Restore" functionality, but I'm pushing that a bit further by asking for the options of exporting a complete box diagram of the Rule's workflow, in print-ready PDF or as a bitmap image or even ASCII art.Naturally all output should include copyright attribution to Patrick/MSR, link to the MSR repository, with optional Rule @author info, Rule name + creation date (or all that crapola could just be its own COMMENT field in the Rule itself), and current installed MSR platform type + version number.
Thoughts?
