Portable pi power
Is there any way I can run my pi on portable battery power for short period of time? My plan is to take that zway server to each of the zwave devices rather then the other way around. Does that make sense?

I have done that before but you need a USB battery pack with a micro USB plug. Pretty typical.
Yes, pretty much any high current portable charge pack should do it fine
Something like this? How long will 2kmilliamps last?
2-Pack Miady 20000mAh Portable Charger Power Bank, Dual USB Output and USB-C Input, Fast Charging Battery Pack Charger for iPhone X, Galaxy S9, Pixel 3 and etc https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0828DWL5R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_B6MSEb78DDBN3

Well the maths says about 8 hours. I'd be surprised.
That's a little low on current as well. You want to be 2.5-3A
Something like this with a USB-C to micro USB would be more where I'd be looking. Be happy with an hour or two run time, but some of these stats need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Sure someone on here knows more than I
