looking for a light switch with presence sensor?
-
I run a B&B and am looking for a way to turn the lights off whenever a room is unoccupied for X amount of time. The guest should still be able to turn the lights on and off manually, but should not be able to disable the auto turn off feature if the room is unoccupied.
I guess I am looking for a light switch with a built in presence sensor? I guess a presence sensor would be better as if it is a motion sensor, the lights may go off unwanted if the guest fails to make sufficient movement e.g. if the guest is lying down watching a film.
Are there any products on the market that would work for my application?

I am testing the following presence sensors:
Sensor FP2 - AQARA
Sensor SNZB-06P - SONOFF
The Aqara detector can detect several areas, and several people, and seems to be very reliable.
I'm starting to test the sonoff which only detects a presence and which costs much less. -

How does the Sonoff compare to the aqara in your testing?
Secondly, it seems that some of these devices are quite power hungry in themselves, requiring around 1amp.
The other option I saw was Ecobee sensors, although they only seem to work with their themostat system, but they look very power efficient. Although I am not sure if they are true presence sensors?
