@DesT I think I mentioned this some time ago, but Chat in this software seems broken. I normally use Brave browser, but it's same for Chrome. Haven't tried others.
Someone is trying to contact me via chat. I can see that here:

When I click on that message, or any message in this list, the header and navigation left/right of the side go away, and I get a page that looks like this:
f69b117b-8ac9-446b-8487-6d586b24ea29-image.png
It has no messages in it, not even the message that I can see the preview for in the previous image. Nothing I do from here seems to bring up any conversations. The user who messaged me isn't listed on the left. And if I click on any of the messages in the list on the left, nothing major happens: the tab title changes and the message in the left list I click on is highlighted gray, but no conversation is displayed and the middle of page stays blank except for the input area, it doesn't even display the full text of the message I clicked on. Since there's no navigation on the page, the only way I can leave this page is to use the back button or re-enter the URL in the location bar to start over.
Maybe I'm committing some kind of ID 10T error, but it's not obvious to me what it is. Just seems... not working.
Hi
I am trying to connect a vintage radio to my home smart network, replacing the old parts with a smart speaker. I have a small light bulb inside the radio hooked up to a 6v battery that I also want to connect to the home network. Is it possible to get a smart device that I can use as a switch for this light bulb circuit? if not, I would be grateful for any ideas on how to connect a small (torch-sized - it needs to slot into a 10mm hole) light bulb to the home network.
many thanks
While doing pretty much anything on the site, if you accidentally hover over a username in the "Who's Online" or "Board Statistics" areas, you get a pop-up with some information about that user.
The problem is that this pop-up pops up over whatever content you are reading, including possibly the post editing tool, covers a good part of it, right in the middle, and has no obvious way to close it. There is no close box on the panel, and it does not pop down/away when you mouse-leave it. It just stays there. You can even refresh the page and they come back. The only way I have found to get rid of them is to move away from the current page to another (e.g. using the "Account Info" link in the pop-up's hamburger menu). Transitioning between top-menu items (Categories, Unread, Tags, etc.) does not remove it/them.
It would be nice if these had a close box, or better yet, just popped away when the cursor leaves their boundaries. If that's a bridge too far, then no pop-up at all, just let me click if I want detail for that user.
