[Solved] DynamicGroupController updating members issue
CrilleC
Edit: Solved in latest-26221. Bare-metal latest-26193 I have this group: "OKforLarm": name: OK för Larm select: - include_controller: vera - include_capability: door_sensor filter_expression: entity.attributes.door_sensor.state It contains the entities I expect but behaves a bit odd. When I open vera>device_10097 the entity attribute door_sensor.state changes to true but it won't show up as member in the group, when I also open vera>device_10095 they both shows as members and when I close vera>device_10095 it disappear from the group but when I close vera>device_10097 it lingers in the group until I restart Reactor.

Reactor (Multi-System/Multi-Hub) Announcements

Build 21228 has been released. Docker images available from DockerHub as usual, and bare-metal packages here. Home Assistant up to version 2021.8.6 supported; the online version of the manual will now state the current supported versions; Fix an error in OWMWeatherController that could cause it to stop updating; Unify the approach to entity filtering on all hub interface classes (controllers); this works for device entities only; it may be extended to other entities later; Improve error detail in messages for EzloController during auth phase; Add isRuleSet() and isRuleEnabled() functions to expressions extensions; Implement set action for lock and passage capabilities (makes them more easily scriptable in some cases); Fix a place in the UI where 24-hour time was not being displayed.

DynamicGroupController and attributes
therealdbT
Hey @toggledbits I'm back to trying to optimize a couple of things based on dynamic group. First of all, I think I found a typo in the doc: primary_attribute: "binary_sensor.state" primary_attribute_value: | d = false; each id in members: d = getEntity(id)?.attributes?.power_switch?.state or d, d I think the correct code snippet is d = false, All that said, my use case for dynamic groups is to group 3 different climate devices, so I could easily command them at the same time. Commands are good, but sometimes I want to check if any of the devices are on, and that's easily done with a similar snippet as the one you have in the docs. But this is limited to the primary attribute, while I want to have any of the attributes in the group to be driven by a similar logic (while all are null in the group). ie, access hvac_control.mode and see if any of the unit is set to cool, or heat. Is that possible, without re-defining an expression in each of my rules? Thanks!

[MSR] Copy&past of actions and/or drag&drop between set/reset
therealdbT
Hey @toggledbits One thing that bothers me while doing work on new systems/new features, is that I cannot copy&paste actions, and I cannot drag&drop between set and resets. #1 is for when I want to copy an action between different rules opened in two separate browser windows, while #2 is when I just need to flip a bunch of actions in the reset, or move some logic back and forth. Both will be appreciated, but I understand the technical challenges. Thanks!

Upgrade advice - upgrade from aarch64 to ARM64 image
T
I'm currently on version 26011. I understand that the aarch64 image is no longer supported. So, I therefore need to update to the ARM64 image. Can anyone possibly suggest how I update my docker compose.yaml file (see below). Ideally I'd like to keep my existing reactions etc. rather than start from scratch. # Multi-System Reactor template docker-compose.yml (version 22160) # # Change the lines indicated by "DO"... # services: reactor: container_name: reactor environment: # DO change the TZ: line to set your local time zone. # See valid TZ list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones TZ: GB # # DO NOT change this path. Your directory location is in "source" below. REACTOR_DATA_PREFIX: /var/reactor # DO change the image below to the one you are using (e.g. armv7l or aarch64 for RPi 4) image: toggledbits/reactor:latest-aarch64 restart: "always" expose: - 8111 ports: - 8111:8111 volumes: # DO change the /home/username/reactor below to the directory you created for # your local data; DO NOT change the /var/reactor part - /home/pi/docker/reactor:/var/reactor - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro tmpfs: /tmp

Deprecation Announcement: 32-bit ARM *docker* images
toggledbitsT
If you are using the armv7l docker image, the OpenJS Foundation that publishes node is no longer producing 32-bit builds as of v24. That means the last supported LTS version of node for armv7l is v22, which will go End-of-Life in May 2027. Therefore, the Reactor armv7l image is now deprecated and will only be produced until node v22 goes EOL, and I will not publish armv7l images beyond that date. If you are running an RPi 3 or earlier with Reactor, you are on this image, and will need to upgrade hardware to a 64-bit model and use the arm64 image. If you need help getting it done, ask in this category.

http request action & digest auth

I’m using the HTTP Request action in MSR and need to authenticate against an endpoint that uses HTTP Digest authentication. Now that endpoint was changed to use SHA-256 in digest auth, so I would like to know if MSR supports it, or is it limited to MD5-based digest auth?

Hopefully not about to ask the world's dumbest question, but here goes...

I'm stumped at Step 1 of the "Getting Started" docs (https://reactor.toggledbits.com/docs/Getting-Started/), since I'm unable to locate the referenced reactor.yaml file.

The only files I see under my <reactor-data>/config folder are:
      all-json.out (2 bytes)
      all-yaml.out (3 bytes)

IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm running MSR under Docker on my Synology NAS, but I believe it behaves identically in all respects to bare metal (Linux) installs. I'm wondering if it's possible that the desired YAML file exists within the distributed image, but is not being exposed yet by the container running MSR.

Will not proceed until advised by someone more knowledgeable. Until then, I have no "Hub/HA" defined, so cannot do anything, really, with MSR. (Makes me kinda wish these settings lived within MSR's panels and not a YAML file, LOL!)

      Thanks - Libra

The docker container is slightly different in that the data folder does not live within the container, it lives on a volume that the container mounts separately. This is so that the container can read and write data as needed and it is not destroyed when the image or container is replaced (e.g. you would otherwise lose your config and all your rules and reactions), and so you can edit your config without having to breach the walls of the container.

The install steps for the docker container has a step for you to create a directory that would become this volume. To confirm you are looking in the right place, open Docker via the package manager. Go to Container, then click the Reactor container. Hit the Details button, and then the Volume tab. The line that shows the mount path "/var/reactor" is the place where your config and data are stored (not /var/reactor, the path to the left of that under File/Folder. So check that to make sure you are looking in the right place. You should see config, logs and storage at a minimum, and possibly also local and sys.

@toggledbits said in Multi-System Reactor Developer Preview AVAILABLE:

You should see config, logs and storage at a minimum, and possibly also local and sys

In that folder (which in my case happens to be Reactor/Data, I only see the following subfolders:
          config
          storage

OK, then somehow the initial data didn't get copied. If you haven't already, open a PR for that on Mantis, and I'll post the two files so you can put them into the folder yourself, and I'll hunt down why it didn't copy them in the first place.

Strictly FYI, I've gone ahead and installed NODE.JS v12 on my Synology NAS in anticipation of attempting the Reactor backup conversion to MSR Rulesets. In my Linux-challenged mind, that's a step in the right direction. Next, I'll need to (re-)learn how to SSH into the NAS for executing Terminal commands. Will let you know if this gets me further along that trajectory.

EDIT: Nope, I was clearly jumping the gun. Will have to take another tack.

I've also rolled 21062 (today's daily build) into a docker container for Synology. Link is in PR #58 on the bug tracker.

Installed. Works like a charm. Your instructions were spot on, as per usual.

Hi! this is for asking an help to correct time zone.
MSR is now installed (1.0.0-21200-16a604f) on my Synology NAS (DS 720+ with DSM 7) and Docker running on it. With my previous DS119j impossible to do anything with it.

All entities from Vera Lite are imported ok .

Trying to import also entities from Ezlo Plus without success.

So looking in the "reactor.log" I notice TZ offset with something like this:

                                    2021-08-03T20:46:16.212Z wsapi:NOTICE wsapi: starting version 21196
2021-08-03T20:46:16.286Z Engine:INFO Engine#1 master timer tick, local time "8/3/2021, 10:46:16 PM" (TZ offset 120 mins from UTC)
                                    2021-08-03T20:46:16.560Z wsapi:INFO wsapi: connection from ::ffff:172.17.0.1

In reactor container, going on LOG tab, I have something like this:

                                    time = 23.00.05
                                    and log
2021-08-03T23:00:05.001Z Engine:INFO Engine#1 master timer tick, local time "8/4/2021, 1:00:05 AM" (TZ offset 120 mins from UTC)

TZ variable for reactor container is: Europe/Rome
On nas control Panel, server NTP is on time.google.com
in Docker LOG tab, time is correct
Browser time and host Time in MSR GUI are correct

                                    does anyone have any advice?

Seems like everything is correct. The log timestamps are always UTC. The master timer tick log entry looks correct for about the time of your posting and the time zone you show set below.

I was not able to import entities from Ezlo Plus and I was thinking about a problem between time zone and access token.
Now I have also ezlo entities imported ok but only after putting both “offlineAnonymousAccess” and “offlineInsecureAccess” set to true with API call.

                                        In all this ways nothing:
                                        config:

username: "somebody" # put your username here betw quotes
                                           password: "????????" # and password

                                        then config

set_anonymous_access: true <--- add this line, same indent as previous

                                        then with

                                        “offlineInsecureAccess” enabled:true

                                        the log was:

OK. So first, you need to learn to post code correctly on this site so I can actually see what you're posting. Any code that you post here (including config and log snippets) should have ``` on a line by itself both before and after.

Please repost your controller config, from the - id: line to the end of the section, just XXX out your username and password. It looks like your config isn't (and wasn't to start) correctly set up.
