Migrating from Vera Plus to Home Assistant (or other?) -
Migrating from Vera Plus to Home Assistant (or other?)@CatmanV2 Hey CatmanV2, long time and all that. I've started to poke around in HA mainly because I need to plan a backup for my 2 Vera boxes. Found I can use them as radios (+1 for HA) and can finally pull both systems together without busting up walls and so on. So, I'm planning to do something but not sure what?
My ears pricked up with your Deebot addition. I'm unable to find Deebot in HA so I'm not sure if your reference to Deebot is the Vacuum cleaner or something else?
Can you expand on what you mean? -
Can't post screen shots here now?Your right, it looses conection.

MIOS - UI5 web loginThanks for the help but now I've forgotten my User name, Password and the email that I used all those years ago.
As much as I hate to do it, I have no option other than to retire the unit. -
MIOS - UI5 web login^^^ Thanks, unfortunately it returns
Not Found
The requested URL /login.php``` was not found on this server.Looks like MIOS have retired the site. Vale Vera Lite & Vera 3, you both gave more than expected and I'll miss you.

MIOS - UI5 web loginbump....anyone, I surely can't be the last person with a Vera Lite still deployed?
-
MIOS - UI5 web loginCan anyone help with the MIOS UI5 weblink? Not the getvera one.
Still running UI5 on a couple of sensors & lights and need to tweak PLEG but for the life of me I can't remember the link to tunnel back to the trusty machine.... -
Vera 3 with a Z-Wave.Me UZB stickIt won't work. You are attempting to use a GEN3 device (Vera3) with a GEN5 or higher device (UZB).
Z-Wave is backwards compatible but what you are endeavoring to do is the opposite. -
3-way smart switches in separate buildings.Best advice I can give you is to buy one and play with it.....

3-way smart switches in separate buildings.^^^ @akbooer Why not use the WAP that is on Shelly devices for local control? Realistically, the Shelly App would be simpler.

Quality of Life Request: Update Button@toggledbits , thank you for your in-depth reply, there is no need to rush as there are no Raspberrys available (in our region) until mid-March (if we are lucky).

I guess I missed that it's available as a paid download for install on whatever platform.
So, there is no misconception about paid or free software, Homeseer is available as a 30-day free trial for anyone to test, it often comes up on special as well .
Just to ease any further concerns it has also been around for over 20 years - try the freebie you might be surprised how good it is as an OS for HA. -

You buy their hub and live within their infrastructure.
Nup, you can use any old Laptop or RasPi. Runs on Windows or Lynx. i'd love to promote MSR to Homeseer users but it lacks the simplicity hence the backing of the request.
Realistically, I'm not going to see it happen which is a shame as Patrick has put a lot of time into development for the 2%. -
Quality of Life Request: Update ButtonThanks for the Portainer explanation, I'm certain I've had a spell cast on me. I'll try again once the Pi400 become available once more.
Lastly, I think the point has been lost, it's about QOL, not about how easy it is to do in another way.
From my perspective if it isn't easy to use by 98% of the public then it's too much trouble and they might look at it then discard it for another solution.
The comments so far are from users who are in the 2% and are happy to tinker. I'm happy for you.
If anyone wants to see how Consumer friendly software should be to set up, then have a look at Homeseer4. Update ...no problem with 1 click. -

Something I should keep an eye on? Or I have just been lucky?
I doubt it, it's me who is unlucky with Portainer & MSR.....

Thread removed - why?I was just going to add my support for a Update Button for the bare bones version of MSR and find the thread has been removed.
I'm wondering what was so provocative that required it's removal?
Have we become as paranoid as an owner of another forum?Anyway +1 for an Update Button.

Quality of Life Request: Update Button+1
Requested this way back when MSR was just getting on it's feet.
