Further testing, I need a router decvice as by the time I move the sensor two floors down it stops responding, but I was pretty much expecting that. I can probably do something with the positioning of the dongle on its extension as well. C

To manage high temperatures (600°C) with Zigbee and Sonoff iHost, you can use a high-temperature thermocouple (like a K-type) with a MAX31855 or MAX6675 converter. Then, connect it to an ESP8266/ESP32 microcontroller with a Zigbee module (like Sonoff Zigbee). This way, you can read the temperature and integrate it into your automation stack via MQTT or HTTP.

I use openLuup with Zigbee2MQTT on a RasPi and it's been working with no issues. Plus you get all of the benefits and flexibility of using openLuup and AltUI plus about seventy or so available plugins to mess with.

If it’s as I think, then the fix is easy... if the value exceeds 327.67 then subtract it from that number.

I went the lazy way for now for lack of time and just dropped in the conbee directly to replace the vera plus into home assistant using the zha component then into openLuup instead of using deconz. I would have to pick up another conbee and really start from a deconz installation to get going on a bridge...
