Reactor Loading Screen Safari
-
When starting MSR, I started getting “Loading Reactor” Screen everytime. Pressing refresh multiple times the page will load or click on any of the menu links and the status page will then display and everything will work normally. It appears to be a safari only issue as it loads fine in chrome. I don’t know exactly when it stared, if it was updating to one of the newer builds or updating the Mac to 26.1. This is probably not a MSR problem but I thought I would share in case. Cleared cache, hard reset browser, private window and restarted MSR. Below is a screenshot of the web console while stuck. The error that says Object does not exist, the rule is there and functioning.

Thanks,

Those errors are benign -- they just say that there's a Rule or Reaction in the Rule or Reaction history that no longer exists (or it's a sub-reaction, like a Group or Repeat/While action in a Reaction). Everything else is as expected. There are probably a dozen or so lines preceding this screen shot that could have other errors, but since it got this far, I doubt it. Confirming... this is while "Loading Reactor..." is still the only thing displayed on the screen?
Also what was the prior build of Reactor you were using? Were you far behind, or just a build or three?
Since I don't have any Apple products, I don't really support Safari. That's stated in the docs. I'm happy to chase this a bit to see if we can figure it out, but only to a point.

FWIW I'm Apple only, happy to test where I can.
Certainly no issues with Chrome on various versions of iOS

@CatmanV2 Can you try Safari on a Mac Desktop or the IOS. It does it on both on my setup.

Thanks

OK. First suggestion here, go to the Tools tab, and in very small print in the footer of the page area, you will see a link that says Clear Local Storage. Hit that link, answer the confirmation question, and then hard-refresh the browser.

@SweetGenius Just catching up here - I've had this with Safari on iOS for ages. Just stalls loading, takes a few refreshes, etc.
In Brave Mobile browser it loads finger snap fast. I don't remember why I was doing it with Safari, to be honest.... perhaps that's the only browser that would let me save a link on my browser homepage? Dunno.
I use Brave on the Mac, also. And Windows... and... Linux...

@toggledbits I tried the Clear Local Storage and a hard-refresh and still have the same result. I am attaching a new screenshot of the web inspector where I saw some errors just in case it means something to you.

I don't know why it works for some on Safari but seems work for all with other browsers. Is there anything else you can think of for me to check?
Thank you for responding with your experiences @CatmanV2 @therealdb and @gwp1 !
