Switchboard plugin
-
Hi,
I've installed switchboard plugin from openluup app store but I'm not sure which action to use to create a binary switch. I try "addswitch" action but I see the device only after using the "addchild" action too. is it correct ?Attached the openluup device screen, the control switchboard and the actions i see.

@donato It seems like you've either installed a really old version of Switchboard, or you've messed up the installation (perhaps with the actions -- that's not how you create a device). I think you need to delete the switchboard master device and any children you created, uninstall the plugin, and reinstall it. Make sure you install version 1.9 from the AltAppStore. Then hard refresh your browser.
Creating a virtual device is simple, done through the UI on the Switchboard master device. This is what the Switchboard master device should look like in the dashboard (notice the difference from what you showed):
You click on the master device to get to this control panel:
Choose the device type you want to create at 1, and then press the button at 2. Then hard refresh your browser again and the new virtual device should appear in the ALTUI dashboard.

Installed from ALTUI app store and now the version is 1.9 and from ALTUI I've created a binary switch with the web interface you attached.
The screen shots I've attached are from openluup console (my favorite interface) and there nothing is changed.

Ah, that makes sense. I haven't spent much time in the new console. Old dog sticking to the old tricks. I'll have to poke around there a bit more and see what's new.
