How to record "last" motion...

  • Hey folks...

Not sure how I will be able to do that...

Have some motion sensors all around the house, in and out.

I would need to record somehow/somewhere, maybe using graphics? the last time a "motion" occur.

Real example, I would be able to know at which time our son go to the bed 😉

  • @akbooer Maybe it will be awesome to graph all the motion sensor ?

  • You're aware, of course, of AltUI's Timeline page, which shows recents events and future scheduled events...

Also, of the fact that openLuup's Historian records most things, which you can view as tables:...

...also as a graph, either locally or via Grafana...

  • Maybe it would be good to have a tutorial on how to setup grafana? I did it so long ago that I forgot how I did it...

  • You're right... already have a grafana installed but not sure if it's still working, good idea 😉

  • I probably need to update the openLuup manual... I see that the last version was in July 2018!

However, I think that perhaps a Grafana tutorial is outside the scope of that document. But I should, at least, mention the key points about using the openLuup Data Historian as a Grafana data source.

Edit: ...really the only thing to know is that you should point Grafana to port 3480 on your openLuup machine IP.
