Vera or not vera?

@akbooer
The main problem is one post up. I'm still standing on "openLuup Start on Bootup Lua", unfortunately.
(I was just guessing why it didn't work) -
Hello @akbooer,
I’ve been working on the system a lot in recent days.
(altui starts with "pi", I have the tools with all the icons and also the rooms, language file copied. I'm still in the process of installing the vera plugins and moving the reactor scenes (sensors).1, What I noticed:
- startup lua error:
2020-11-09 09: 24: 00.644 openLuup.init :: Cjson not installed - using openLuup.json.Lua.decode () instead
2, I have read the openluup manual you wrote several times unfortunately, yet one or two things are not clear.
Settings for the user_data.json file:
-
the actual location of the backup and log directory on the pi must be specified. Right?
-
"ditto Lines and Versions - number of lines before log rotation, number of versions saved"
i don't know what to change here .... -
"openLuup.UserData.Checkpoint - number of minutes between each user_data.json save."
here the number 60 should be changed to 6?
3, Altui for some reason identifies my wife's name in the system. he writes that
"unregistered version for" my wife's login name "Why do I log in with this? -

It's not an error, it's just an information message. It's an extension to the system that you don't need.

Nothing needs changing here – all the defaults are just fine. What problem are you trying to solve?

Do you have VeraBridge up and running and linked to your Vera yet? openLuup receives its username information from Vera via the bridge. There is a well-known problem with AltUI/Vera in the case that there are multiple registered users, since it's not clear which one will be picked by Altui to check the licence. This is not an openLuup issue unless you are trying to run without an attached Vera. In which case I can provice a licence key, if you are actually licensed with AltUI, and you send me a screen snapshot of your AltUI footer, showing the licence information.

Thank you for your response @akbooer.
"Nothing needs changing here – all the defaults are just fine. What problem are you trying to solve?"
I'm following the openluup briefing.
I found there: "Appendix: Configuring key openLuup parameters at Startup"From this I thought something had to be changed in user_data.json.
Don't I have to be change someting there?
Or don't have to?
I'm starting to lose a little bit of the yarn between a lot of information ... sorry. -

VeraBridge, installed, bridge, running, connection good, devices taken over.
I'm trying to run with Vera for now and I don't have an Altui license. Then it's so good. Right?

This is entirely optional, and just describes a way to change things if you want to... but you don't, so nothing to do here!
I'm sorry the manual is perhaps not as clear as it could be. It has rather grown over time as features got added, so the organisation of it is not ideal. I did try to put everything necessary in the early chapters and additional documentation in the Appendices.

OK, that explains it. If you want to get rid of the message, then you need to contact @amg0 about a licence. You should ask for it in the login name that it is trying to use, in this case, your wife's. Then openLuup will pick up this information too, and if you keep Vera attached all will be well. If, someday, you remove Vera, having transferred all your ZWave devices to ZWay, say, then you will need a licence key from me to enable you to keep your AltUI licence running, but openLuup, itself, requires no licence.
-
@akbooer!
Don't worry, the manual is definitely good, I think I'm an amateur to it .....
AltUi license is clear, thank you.I move on, successfully “resetting” and repairing all my reactor sensors in Altui.
Got the automation it's super!Then I installed the Netatmo plugin on Altui, provided all the data.
One main station and children are placed / updated in the openLuup / Altui interface, but the other main station is not present.
I don't see an error in the log file, there are all of them.
What could be the problem?I also installed a Harmony hub, but there is a problem here as well. Harmony appears on the interface, but there is no icon and no child devices.
How can I fix this?Thank you for your patience.
Best regards:

.... yeah and one (two) more .....
How can I create multiple Auto Virtual Thermostats?
If I install the plugin twice, the second one will not appear is AltUi.I didn't find a DSC plugin in the App Store. Then it stays based on vera?
-
You push the "Create device" button in the "devices" tab, insert name and D_AutoVirtualThermostat1.xml/I_AutoVirtualThermostat1.xml in the fields, and up it pops.
You might be able to make DSC work by copying the files to the AltUI unit and using the same Create device procedure as above.. It worked with VeraFlux which wasn't in AltAppStore either.
-
It's been a conscious decision not to place plugins in the Alt App Store unless we have permission of the developer. If they're not there, it doesn't mean that permission was denied, they may simply not yet have been asked (or they're not around any more.)
The store, itself, only contains metadata. The actual code is in the developers' own GitHub repositories.
-
Would like to see these plugins in the store:
Sonos - originated by lomdomo and updated by toggledbits - not sure what the hold up is here - it's in GitHub.
Datamine2 - an old favorite of many (excuse me akbooer) - originated by Chris Jackson and updated by sknightley aka ConstantSphere - Chris is OK, need to check with ConstantSphere
GC1000 IR plugin driver - maybe a Vera plugin (Sorin??? - license unclear) but there are more recent improvements to make use of - I can put it into GitHub with permission.Any others out there of good use? More than likely.

It was a real favourite of mine too. DataYours (and, in fact, openLuup’s Data Historian) can read directly from it... but the disc space requirements were large, and searches extremely difficult due to the folder structure. IIRC, it’s possible to plot Datamine with Grafana, although it’s a while since I tried that.
-

Arhhh - I remember 64 kB of static RAM literally hanging over the edge of a S100 board and it cost ALOT; used with the CPM OS plus all sorts of other boards to make it all work. Years later, I can still learn much much more. Datamine's memory needs are - well not much at all, looking at to-days gear. However a Vera 3 was a little constrained - if perhaps a little unnecessarily so.

The desired sensors have appeared! -
@akbooer,
Do you have any idea about the netatmo and harmony hub bug I asked above? -

Unfortunately, I didn't understand much of that. Remember I'm a beginner .....
What should I do? -

I thought we had this sorted. Are you saying that it’s different from running on Vera?
What does the diagnostics page show?

I mailed the diagnostics to you.
Device Tree device list is empty.Haromony also has no icons or children's tools ...

It is possible that you are not running the latest version? You need the development branch, not the master.

Maybe not the latest. Version 20.10.15. I updated in AltUi, but the version number remains ...
